Flippity Floppity

It's circus season around these parts. (These parts = Fargo/Moorhead) After a long day of sandbagging on Wednesday, saving the city with my pathetic-once upon a time-muscles, and going to sleep before 9pm each night, it was circus day. $22 dollars later, and 2 tickets were purchased, we were on our way! Unfortunately, only a nap of 45min was taken by Prince Butter. We met our friend Dan and his 5 year old son Dominic at the Fargo Dome (also known as Sandbag Central 2009). We found some seats only 10 rows up from the ring...awesome, because who doesnt want to be THAT close to a smelly elephant and loud noises?! One dollar purchased a program that was really just a coloring book with no "program" parts to tell parents what was next.  2$ cotton candy, 5$ water, and an 8$ toy gun, it's time for the show.
This is Mathisen being completely enthralled

We saw people gliding on a wire, circus acts of playing drums, juggling, elephants, tigers, and no bears...oh my.

Dominic, Dan's son, was pretty happy to be there also. He did not have a nap prior to the circus which means he got very tired, very quick.

Over all, it was pretty fun. Mathisen sat through most of it (3 freakin' hours), with out so much as fidgiting.  He is a big boy now.  I know that because the circus was longer than the movie Titanic. Even I cant sit through that.

Circus!

Ha, was pretty into it :)

This is what he was starring at!

Cotton Candy bigger than his head!

Hard to see, but he has a cotton candy goatee

Please tell me again why I spent 8$ on the most ANNOYING toy...

Did I mention the 9yr old girl that was on the high wire??? Cough child endagerment cough...

And the elephant...on a little ball...that's just unnatural. But now I want an elephant for a pet...

*Yay for a new memory card...more blog posts to come :)
